Maureen

Maureen spent her childhood on the shoreline of Branford, Connecticut. Leaving home at 18 she attended University of Rhode Island where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983. Her favorite semester was Pediatric Nursing and  Child Health & Development. The University of Rhode Island had an on-campus day care site & each student was assigned a child to follow.

In 1984, Maureen relocated to Boston for 15 years; after obtaining the obligatory 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience she went on to become a Behavioral Health Nurse for Children (in-patient), did some Pediatric Home Care Nursing and on occasion temping in the Elementary Grades K-8th as a School Nurse.

At 34, knowing her passion was working with children, she went back to Graduate School attending Simmons College in Boston where she obtained 28 credits towards her Masters to be a Pediatric School Nurse Practitioner.

Maureen's biggest life event was backpacking in Europe for 3 months in 1987. And, in the Winter of 2019, she relocated to beautiful South Burlington, VT for the love of outdoors where she enjoys hiking, biking & snow shoeing.
