Assistant Teacher

Hello! My name is Sarah  and I am joining GMMS this fall 

Originally from Maine, I attended Montessori school through 4th grade. I graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Science from The University of Vermont, and have worked in education for the past 10 years with various age groups as a librarian. In my free time I enjoy fiber arts, photography, and drawing. Yoga and meditation, which I began in Montessori, are also important to me. 

I strive to create educational spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued for their differences, which allows their natural love of learning to shine through. Lifelong learners develop in supportive, healthy environments where they learn practical skills and build confidence through sharing knowledge with their peers. Critical thinking and independence flourish in inclusive environments. I am excited to be a part of the GMMS community!
